Joe Moynihan
Chief Executive Officer
Joe Moynihan has been with AIB Group for over 30 years working in Ireland, Britain and based in Jersey since 1993. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of AIB Jersey and Isle of Man in February 2007. He is responsible for running the bank’s offshore operations in both Jersey and the Isle of Man, setting strategic direction and representing the offshore business at AIB Group level. The Jersey operation includes Private and Corporate Banking, Investment, Fiduciary and Fund Services and has over 130 members of staff, whilst the Isle of Man operation is largely banking, with about 70 members of staff.
As CEO of AIB Jersey and Isle of Man, Joe not only has a wealth of knowledge of AIB as a bank, but significant experience in all aspects of its offshore business, which provides bespoke financial solutions for its clients, as well as individual products and services.
A graduate member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and holder of an MBA from the prestigious Ashridge College in Hertfordshire, Joe is a well-known member of Jersey’s finance industry. He is currently President of the Jersey Bankers Association and has been involved in numerous international trips with Jersey Finance. He is also a member of the Jersey branch of the Institute of Directors.
